Thanks Peepblessed...I hope she does well...it is going to be a big show for silkies...a double one day show for bantams only...Calhoun GA...

is there somewhere I can find what to bring to a show with me? Like a kit I should put together?

You can check out the "going to a show" thread on ASBC. I asked this same question over there and have not received a response...it must have been overlooked...however there was an excellent discussion of travel crates for showbirds.

Okay, here you go. He wasn't his normal proud typey self as he was separated from the flock, but you get the idea. He is almost 5 months. Really mature for his age and makes me worry that that comb is going to double in size. I just love his color!

Denise, he is from Catdance porcelain pen. Some  are calling this darker shade lavender partridge.

Anybody have a name idea? I'm drawing a blank...

Zeek my young Roo about five months old just started crowing will sometimes grab my hen by her top hair and just hang on and pull and she hollers. I hate when he does it. Is this mean behavior or should I just ignor it as growing into the picking order? Or getting ready to learn to mate?

Well guess what people! After waiting on one of my silkie pullet lay there first egg (I have about 3 between 6-8 months No eggs and a 4 month old Porcelain chick ) started to hear one of my chicks start to crow, so I go outside to see whos the new boss and its my 4 month old Porcelain pullet trying to crow!! :/ I think its a she When will I have my first egg ! Well not me my pullets

That is not a pure silkie, but he/she is cute Looks like a girl to me though
