partridge change drastically and keep changing as they mature. A roo can take up to a year to mature in body and color, but usually its minimal after 6-7 months old.And a very pretty one at that!
Can you tell me how long it takes for a partridge to develop full colouring?

Is it about the same for other breeds with the partridge colouring? I've been asking about my partridge cochin male, and no one has given me a straight answer.partridge change drastically and keep changing as they mature. pullets usually don't change much after 4-5 months old color wise
I think it is where I picked up my little white roo. At least it is the same town, about 30 mins from me. I did not see any of her others, but mine is very nice.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280964871344 Has anyone ever purchased silkies from this seller on ebay? Girls have combs too. I am not sure what you mean by bump - but at 5 months, I am usually pretty certain with my own. My boys have definite streamers by then.Question.
And I need an answer, please. ![]()
I just bathed my two pullets and one had a bit of a bump on her comb. It is deep mulberry/gray color and not near the size of the cockerels but a bump nonetheless. Everything else about her screams girl. She's about 5 months old.
Do pullets have little bumped out combs too? Or might this be a roo posing as a pullet???
Help please, I am taking her to an adopter today, who is expecting a girl!
