What a beautiful place you have! So neat to see them free range. I wish I could free range we have hawks eyeballing them all the time. I let some out in the orchard with me watching over them and a hawk flew right at us and scared the heck out of me I stood up and waved my arms and he veered off and landed in a tree right by us so I had to get them right back in. Love those little guys so cute, thanks for sharing.Thank you very much! She's certainly not one of the best whites out there, but she is still cute - I mean, what silkie isn'tMy frizzle silkie is a male. He was completely blue as a chick, so I think that around his neck is just leakage. He could be considered a partridge, I just don't know
Congrats on your new one! Can't wait to see him/her
Thanks Blessedchick! Phyllis is my favourite as well. I think she is one of my best silkies. And I'm like you - a sucker for partridge
Oh and the fuzzy butts
They belong to my partridge cochin hen.. Well not really 'belong' but she is fostering 7 silkie chicks.
Here are some more fuzzy butts, because I'm a sucker for them as well. Janet (mom) decided to molt while brooding, so ignore her unkempt appearance.![]()
Everyone free ranging. I took down the pen. They had no grass left and that made me sad![]()
Thankfully Steve is staying out of Jagger's way, so there haven't been any issues yet.
