But next to that, separate him from the girls for awhile until his hormones are more evened out, and handle him with firm, but kind care. I have seen birds that have never been around other varieties get upset and predjudicial towards a bird that looks different, but only when they have never been around other varieties, and then it is not usually adult vs chick.

Lurkel The shape of your bird looks female. Do you see any sign of pointed hackels ? I think some females do have questionalbly large combs. ie combs that confuse when trying to determine gender.

There is recessive white and dominant white. Dominance is ONLY in relationship with other alleles of the same gene. NOT in relationship to DIFFERENT genes. Having a recessive gene that is homozygous does not prevent other genes from showing, be they dominant or recessive.

Relatively speaking, chickens are genetically complex compared to many other animals.

I posted this earlier and was told it was probably a girl. Today I noticed the comb when it got it's crest wet and it seems big to me. Do you still think this is a girl? 14 weeks old.

I agree, it looks like a girl body wise but that is a large comb for 14 weeks. Hope you get what you want!
