Silkie: Try your luck at a guess. I 100% KNOW the answer

The chick was hatched 3/12/19. I believe it might be a silkie mix, not sure. It does have 5 toes.

My guess is cockerel due to comb growth and what appear to be the start of streamers. Also, that doesn't look like a mix.

I agree with @Cyprus. That much comb growth this young, very likely a cockerel. Only way to know 100% this young would be if you had it DNA sexed. Vent sexing is only 90% accurate at best and feather sexing doesn't work with Silkies.

Hell if anyone has any expert ways to tell if a silkie is a male or female I'm all ears! I've got three 6 week old silkies right now and I'd love to venture a guess but I truly have no idea!!

I'd say 8-10 weeks is a good time to venture a guess. I wish there was a way to breed for Silkies that are easier to sex

Got the DNA blood test results yesterday. So it is 100%. (OK 99.99999)
