Silkie with bad eye

I hope your Silkie is doing better.... My little Silkie had white foam in his left eye this morning... I am new to chickens so I am curious what your hens symptoms were and what the vet said. I really hope it was debris in the eye ..... Please give us an update and good luck!!!

Your little Silkie has a respiratory infection. You can use Tylan 50, about 1/2 cc injected into the breast muscle (or leg muscle if you can't do breast) once daily for 5 days. Some people put it in the water but it tastes really bad and I doubt it's very effective that way.

Could be a resp infection, injury, infection. If it can be treated , I have no doubt that you'll treat it!

If she wll end up not seeing from the eye, it'll be fine. I have 2 that are blind in one eye, and they are no different from my other chickens. One is my roo, and he "gets" his persued girl every time!
Make sure you trim her bangs back well, so her eyes can potentially see real well.
