Silkie with leg injury

I put the chick down today. The leg problem was getting worse despite being in the ICU and s/he was becoming increasingly distressed. Will be watching the rest of the flock extra closely for any disturbing signs. Thank you all so much for the advice given in our time of need.

So far the rest of the flock seems perfectly fine. (Knock on wood) Since then, 4 more chicks have been hatched and hens are sitting on about 12 more. Maybe they will be Christmas chicks!
