About a week ago I got 2 silkie chicks and a wyandotte chick, I noticed the day after I got them one of the silkies was getting pastybutt. I got it cleaned up and it has been fine for the past couple of days but when I checked this morning it looked like it was getting pastybutt again. The other chicks haven't had any issues. Does anyone know if silkies are just prone to this or could there be something else wrong with this chick? I never had this issue with my other chickens when they were small.

I've had quite a few chicks (and only one of them being a Silkie) develop the pasty bottoms. One of the first chicks I ever had died because of this (we were newbies and didn't know to check for it). It is not a breed thing I'm pretty sure.
