Silkies laying question

Hi! My silkie girls are 7 months old, and I believe only one is laying. I am 99% sure only the one because the eggs are only where she sits (her nest). Well I have 1-2 eggs daily. She is only one to sing after she lays and she is the only one who puts her butt up when I pet her (I was told that was a sign of maturity to lay). Could this really be happening? This is also a lot of eggs for siklie. They both are from the same clutch. Just want insight! Thanks!

I have had chickens in the past lay 2 eggs in one day, then skip a day, etc.

I don't know about 2 eggs a day then one, on and on, though. Haven't seen them not skip a day when laying two.
