I will make sure she is getting enough food and extra protein while she sits and after the chicks hatch. Hopefully that will help this hen finish at least a decent molt and then next time I can do things differently.

Would it be a good idea to supplement protein for the rest of my flock while they finish up molting too? I was thinking about using some of the 30% game bird food we have on hand mixed in with their layer feed and supplementing calcium for a few weeks.

If you're going to feed something other than layer feed, I'd just make sure they have a calcium source available free choice, like oyster or egg shells. If they don't need it, they won't eat it.
