Silkies tag-teaming the 2 batches of eggs.

I was really afraid that my other chickens will try and hurt the chicks but with these broody hens… I am now more concerned with my other chickens because the Broody mamas are relentless! It’s kind of funny because if one of the chicks walks towards my other hens they run away because they’re so scared of those other two.😂
Just for pure cuteness, I included a picture of them roosting on my brand new $40 chairs 🤦🏻‍♀️

Well. Tomorrow I will build a frame for the other dog crate to sit on. That will allow us to have the silkies in seperate crates given the stages the eggs seem to be in....

Here is a visual aid for you too!
My post #38
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/our-coop-run-in-north-texas.1342255/page-4

The 2nd picture has the lower level dog crate all prep'd for a silkie to "lockdown" and raise her clutch of eggs.
The opposite corner of the coop will be the location for the other dog crate to get mounted on a shelf for the other silkie to "lockdown" & raise her batch is slightly delayed eggs.

I'll also have a picture of the roosting rail proving how "now" 80% of them now use the 1" Dowling rod as thee roosting rail too.

as promised. just finished prepping the coop for the tag team to "go to their own corners"... I'm planning to move one of them with the "any day now eggs" tonight to coop in the just build crate. which is in the SouthEast corner to be precise.

here is a close up. I have reused this wood several times over the last 6+ months with different coop and run modifications. Most of the wood is left overs from the coop build anyways.

I figured that given the waddle waddle factor I might as well give her som extra realestate and let her look out the window when she wants to... as well the chicks soon enough ....(shrugs) why not eh?

so, here is the pipping update... pics and a 18 second video? lets see if we can upload it all.....
This was as we started to candle and seperate into two groups....
