Hey quick question yall...I'm behind on here!
Can Christmas trees be good inside the chicken run? Or not good idea?
Our ground was saturated before all this ice and snow...now it has melted finally today and we are expecting lots of rain.
Ugh
So thought I'd see if Christmas trees might help in the run...or what yall thought.
Pre-melt pic so ya know my setup
Yeah I thought it was just couldn't remember which thread. That was discussed a few days ago, and yes, some of the folks are using the trees in runs.
Why not?question- can you keep a silkie roo with six full size hens?
If they're raised together yes. Otherwise proceed with caution. Silkies have vaulted skulls. if pecked too hard by standard birds, they can suffer from brain damageWhy not?

Those may very well be the most astonishingly fluffy silkies I've ever seen!Puff Meister is laying in the tub, throwing hay all over her back and growling like a mean wolf too! White Cloud just looks at me as if to say 'How long do I have to put up with this?'
Honest opinions please... Close up shots (I've got them captive for a change.) I'm amazed at the kids I'm getting from my first breeding pair.
