@Hinotori OK, Mr Redman got his first wives last night.. He was busy tidbitting for them this morning and seems happy as a lark with my choice of wives for him. These pullets started laying in the last week or so.. I'll give them time before collecting eggs because of their exposure to siblings in the grow out pen. Two already left me prezzies in the nesting box in the new pen. You can clearly see the partridge pattern in the two lighter gals.

My first hen Poof Poof is a shiny black girl with a hat from Paris.. She's so lovely.. She gave me 3 daughters, all blue from the Calico Splash roo I was given. She's also given me some amazing chicks from a not so hot partridge roo and some F2 hens. Well, now I not only have grandsons from her, but great grand daughters. Here is her Grand son Gunner (Out of Blue Bonnet and Top Gun) and his daughters out of White Cloud (F3 from BBO hen and a son of PP).

I plan on putting these 3 gals with a son of Poof Poof from the Partridge roo (not related)

Here is just one of the daughters I got from PP this year. She's provided me with the best body shaped kids I have and hats to match.

I have 2 pure blacks too! This gal is the spitting image of PP with the exception of the red leakage.

OK, here comes another question.. I have a daughter of Poof Poof (black) named Blue Bonnet. She was in with Top Gun, but he's no longer here. They produced some really great kids. Now she's in with Lil Bear, a son of Blue Bonnet's sister and a son of another roo (not related at all). So far this year she's sat 3 nests of her eggs, and to date none have hatched. Either she's not accepting Lil Bear's sperm, or they are incompatible or what? Nube, my NN is in the same pen and is making great babies with Lil Bear. What do you suggest?
