There's 7 silkie chicks.
White, blue, & black

The other two white chicks are my GameFowl cross, & Muff Game. Muffy got killed by a weasel earlier this year, along with a silkie, & a Brahma.
Haha, I saw a couple of whites, and assumed they were the only silkies.
I'm curious, how did the gamefowl crosses turn out as adults?
Sorry you lost some:hugs

Here are some pictures I found of my silkies:

The blue-black one in the back is Peter. Gregor for is the darker buff, and Ge-go is the lighter. Behind the wire is Mohawk, he was being picked on so I had to separate him. I gave Mohawk, Gregor, and Ge-go away, but I still have Peter.

My silkies as chicks, with my pair of spangled OEG bantams in the back.

I think this is Faline, which Rachel, an Ameraucana, beside her.

And I think this is Millie, who went missing a month ago.

I am not sure if Peter is a blue or a black, I will post better pics of him sometime soon.

They're cuties.

Wow this thread is still going?! Guess silkies really are the best bantam breed :ya
Too true.

Last night I made a bet with my dad that chickens can learn tricks, he doesn't believe me, he thinks they aren't smart enough. So now I am in a quest to prove him wrong, with Piper McCloud (silkie), Enna (OEG bantam), Rachel (Ameraucana), and whatever chicks I get in the spring helping me.

I started Piper in the harness yesterday, she did pretty good. I will post pictures.

I plan on teaching them to fly up into my arm (on command, and Piper won't do this one), harness, and maybe shake. Any more ideas for simple but cool tricks?
