I will absolutely post them here! After checking available hatchalongs, I should probably wait until the new years hatch, just to give myself more time to prepare.

Question on incubation eggs: Is it okay if I store them in the fridge, or should I leave them out on the counter. They will be unwashed, upside down, tilted, and turned a few times a day, but I don't know where/how to store them.

That's true, you've got a week or so before you have to set them for the New Years hatch. Time to collect up some eggs!

I know some people have had success with hatching fridge kept eggs but personally I wouldn't.

Just keep them at room temperature, out of sunlight and turn them 2-3 times a day, keep them pointy end down, mark them with pencil if you want :)

Here's how I store my hatching eggs!

Sorry the photo is blurry it wouldn't save :barnie

I also store them in a room that's not frequently used by us.

Okay, thanks! I will make sure to use your advice.

I just realized I will be on vacation until the 26th, so I will probably start then if I can. I can't wait!

No problem!

Ah yes it's a good idea to try and plan the hatch date as a day when you can be at home when they hatch just incase you do need to help or intervene at any point.

One more question, does it matter if I am hatching bantam eggs in a standard egg size incubator?

I wouldn't say it would make any difference, all of the temps and humidity levels should be the same too.

My Bantam eggs go into LF egg places but the incubator still turns them fine. My incubator has the eggs lying flat on their side, pointy end pointing in towards the centre of the bator.

Good. Thanks for the advice!

Yay!

When can I consider it safe to start hatching my newly-laying silkie's eggs? As in, when are they considered not pullet eggs? I want to hatch some eggs in about Jan or Feb.

Whoever started the rumor that silkies are bad layers was WRONG!!! My silkies are laying more eggs than my Americaunas and Polish, and the Americaunas had a head start!

It's the broodiness that makes them bad layers. You don't get as many eggs over the whole year. When not broody, they are my best layers.
