I love silkies! I have about 12 splash silkies that free range in a fenced in 3 acre area with my other chickens until breeding season. Recently they have been staying in the coop due to our heat wave we get this time of the year

Yes, looks like a partridge. They come in different color varieties. This is one of mine. She is a blue partridge (blue under the gold instead of black.) Yours looks more like a silver partridge.Partridge?

They look around 6 weeks old? With silkies, unless you have an obvious cockerel with early comb formation, you may not know until well over 4 months.![]()
