So poor little Bambina was crying, all alone in the run 😥💔 everyone was sleeping in the coop without her. I gave her an elevator ride and she ran right to the middle of the cuddle pile on the floor. I guess she needs to be in the middle of the pack to go up the ramp, otherwise she can't figure it out.
Awww poor girl! It is sweet that she has her cuddle pile to join at least! 🥰 I found Cher hunkered down under the ramp to her coop where she always goes. I may need to do a horrible hack job on her floof to see if it makes her more brave. Poor girl.

They both seem to have the cochin personality too! Both come running up whenever I open the brooder.❤️
The older one has already figured out how to jump up onto my arm. Hanabi did this exact same thing when she was a chick. She still does it when I go out to the coop, she’ll jump up on my arm for a bit of a snuggle. She’s such a sweetheart!🥰
Man, everyone has these lovely stories about their bantam Cochins being so friendly and sweet. 😩 All 4 of mine have acted like I will murder them since they were two days old. Molly likes to visit me but won’t let me touch her or she will leave. I spend a ton of time with my chickens, and none of my silkies want love or snuggles on their own and none of my Cochins do either! Supposedly two of the sweetest and friendly breeds 😩😩😩 I’m so jealous!

My first 3 silkies were like that ...so don't give up hope!

I think a lot of it is just the individual chicken's personality.😊

Most of my Silkies will let me pick them up and hold them, but only one seeks attention.

Hanabi was alone for a few days until I could get more chicks (lone cochin survivor from shipped chicks) and I ended up carrying her around in my hand all day. She was VERY loud otherwise!🤣

I only have one other chicken that will jump up on my arm for attention (when she feels like it, much like a cat) and that is Frankie, my RSL/Leghorn cross hatched from a grocery store egg 2 years ago. She also had extra attention as a chick. She will also peck me quite hard on the leg when she wants attention and has been known to randomly attack my shoes! 😂

Then I have those that will just put up with me because I feed them.

A few of mine bolt 100 miles an hour away from me like I'm going to murder them! 😩 Most of the others see me coming and run towards me 100 miles an hour! 😄 Some allow pats like my rooster but all squark when I pick them up (partly because they can't see I'm guessing thinking I'm a predator) but once calm in my arms they settle down and some for a quick snuggle.
So far most of the 8 chicks with Puff are friendly running up to me.
I don't spend enough time with them though to help make them more friendly by picking them up each day.

Yeah, none of my silkies were raised from hatch by me, so I'm sure that doesn't help either. All four were either 6+ weeks old or 4 months old. I'm working on them! But the baby cochins were...although they got a lot less attention than the other chicks so maybe it's partly my fault! Needed to handle them more! I am trying harder this time around to handle all the babies as much as possible to see if it helps in the long run! :) Probably still won't matter :D

Oh good point! Me neither! Thanks for saving me on thar headache!
I bought the outdoor Wyze v3 cameras and the recommended solar panels and they work great! The cameras just need to be close to the base station (200-300 ft). Quality for the price is super! These are a couple screen grabs!
