Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

She’s beautiful. She looks a lot like my Kinoko!
I’ve posted these photos of her before, they are good representations.

I’m betting she’s a Polkie! First GEN crosses will not have any silkie feathers.

Another question... if i breed Betty to Barney (well, they've already bonded as a pair).. does that retain the satin feathering?

Any idea what color the parents were?

Luna looks likes she's whiter / greyer on the head and wings.

I'm not too sure, at the moment she has black / dark grey and silver / white fluff.

Betty weighs 1040 g, 2.3 lbs. I'm confused about her having all satin feathers, without a single silkie feather, if she is a first gen cross

Nope, there are zero cochins at the sellers place... thats why she was thinking the salmon faverolle might be the dad.. they also have feathered feet, five toes, poofy tail, muffs and beard. But.. as @LadiesAndJane pointed out, that's a very heavy LF, and Betty is too lightweight. So the only other option for feathered 5 toes is her silkie.
