I try to keep my numbers under 20.😊
2 coops/runs:
Smaller one with 4 large fowl.
Larger one with 14 bantams and smaller birds, including 8 Silkies and 3 Silkie crosses.
Upcoming chicks do not count according to chicken math. Also I understand any bird with a name does not count either towards the total, so technically I have 0 birds.🤣
Oh mannnnnnnnnnn! All of mine that are outside except the 6 silkie mixes and chicks all have names. Phew! I only have 5 silkie mixes, 3 bantam chicks, and 5 silkie chicks then.

These three gals are going in with General Lee when they are old enough.. Cheyenne(white) and Sioux(gray with tan) are cochin/silkie crosses.. And Puff Meister is Gen Lee's daughter. She also has a younger sister (not named yet) that will be joining them when she's old enough.

Anddddddddd for @Gammas Bearded Babies , King Tut is definitely not a silkie, but has a beard that Abraham Lincoln would be proud of. He's from my bantam K.E. and Mara my BCM. Dad doesn't even have a beard, nor does mom.View attachment 3155818
Handsome boy!🥰
The bearding gene has funny genetics (incomplete dominant). I have had beardless chicks hatch from bearded parents. Still do not quite understand it!😊

I need to start counting that way… It would hurt my brain less 😂 Or just count by breed, that is still too many though lol
