O MY GOODNESS @Fur-N-Fowl I soooooo wish u were in the US, I would kill for some eggs from your silkies. Ik ive said that bfr, but its still the case. LOL

Aw I know, I'm a little too far away unfortunately :hit

I am going to start posting eggs as I've had a few people ask previously. I need to buy bubble wrap for each egg, little cosy jackets as they travel! :lau

Silkies are spectacular. Great examples of how human fancy can select toward mutations that may not being entirely healthy. (Vaulted skull, exposed brain). They are the Boston Terrier of the chicken world. They are also very good at keeping the hawks from bothering your valuable poultry. Carry on Silkie lovers.

Luckily my bloodline has no vaulted skulls and I have no hawks where I live :yesss: my silkies are my most valuable poultry.

That is huge, that's peafowl sized! I wonder if it's a double or triple yolker?

Indeed it is, huge doesn't describe it enough! :lau

We frequently get double yolkers and our hens aren't new layers either! I'd say 1 in every 4 eggs they lay isn't a double yolker. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a triple!

Somone who gets eggs off us is going to get that one but I'm sure my Mam will ask them what it was.
