My Noodles is an awful looking little Pullet but her personality is fantastic. Her noodled toes and strange looking face isn't too cute. She is my favourite though..:gig..:hugs

Here are a few pics of my silkies and silky crosses. I love silkies! I call them the Workhorse of the farm. I can only speak from my experience which has been fantastic layers, great broody hens, good mothers, and they just don't quit. My girls are continuous little egg making , chick hatching machines. They lay a clutch of eggs hatch them, and 2 months later do it all over again. They're laying slows down a little in October and December but by the end of December they are back laying and hatching. Have had several successful hatches in late December January and February. LOL no one told them it was too cold. They are also perfect for hatching turkey, duck, guineas, and those chicken eggs from the hens that just will not go broody. As some egg-laying breeds are not prone to hatching their own eggs. It's pretty adorable to see four large turkey poults still trying to squeeze under their silkie mama, or cram their selves into the nest box with her. They had to be separated. So yes I am silkie fan! Fan of all chickens really.

Just had to share this hilarious pic of my horse:

One of my growouts which I had a suspicion was a male, decided to eventually look female and I'm glad :lau

Here's progress photos from when she was a few weeks old to now where she is 12 weeks old!

What do you guys think of her?
