Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

I ordered some (8) bearded silkie hatching eggs from Chicken Scratch Poultry, too.

Rainer Foothills Farm. No communication from them yet. I ended up ordering paint and BBS hatching eggs, as they did not have the option for chicks yet. Decided against the lavender as their lavender pen is mixed with frizzle and smooth and I was not sure if I wanted to introduce that into the mix.
No idea when to expect them. It takes about 10-14 days to get the permits in order for Hawaii.

So... went back and added a dozen lavender silkie eggs to my order. I could not resist.
I started my silkie adventure wanting lavender, but the eggs I ordered back then ended up as splash. I was fine with this until this opportunity arose, so now I have 25 eggs coming in addition to the 8 from the other breeder!! I was hoping to add some unrelated birds to my existing mini flock of 4, but can not decide what colors I want to breed, so I got a bit of everything. I guess I will figure it out and sell any surplus. Plus being shipped eggs, a good hatch rate would be around 50%.

Hey I was just wondering... what colours are everyone's favourites? I'm probably getting 5 soon and am SO excited - they're likely to be adults as our incubator is full AND there's a queue!!
But anyway I was just thinking I might find it kind of hard to tell 5 white Silkies apart and so was wondering what other colours y'all like best!
