They are all so cute 🥰 Wow little Imari has grown! Beautiful babies.
Fingers crossed your eggs do have a good journey and arrive well 🤞
Thanks! 🥰Yes they grow so fast!
Imari is a character. His boyness is now showing and he challenges all the bigger girls!🤣
Wanda/Akari is very demure and avoids all conflicts. Her mother was like that as a chick and still is.
I have only one other cockerel, so I will likely have to make room somewhere for a "rooster pen" when Imari gets older, hopefully they will get along!
How are your eggs doing so far?
Have you candled them yet?😊

This is the chick in question.... Interesting coloring on her wings....

Little Imari thinks he is already a big rooster 😂
Wanda/Akari sounds like a darling ❤️
Oh I'm already thinking about a rooster pen, too, not knowing if even anybody will hatch 😂
Thank you for asking - I don't know about my eggs, I stare a lot at them 😅 everything seems ok so far...haven't candled yet, will candle on day 7 (Saturday). I'm a bit nervous and excited.

Aww what a beautiful little one! I would think buff is the most likely color at this point. :love
Update on the Fab Four! They are now moved out to the patio brooder during the day. They have access to heat if they need it but don’t spend a lot of time under there. They are now between 2 and 1/2 to 4 and 1/2 weeks of age. They will be moving out to the tractor in a few more weeks. This is set up right next to the coop so the older chickens can see them.
Most of the photos are of Kinoko as she is the friendliest. Love her little half Polish hairdo sprouting in!🥰
On another note, have another set of eggs arriving tomorrow by mail half lavender and half paint, hopefully some will hatch and survive this go round!😊View attachment 2575011View attachment 2575012View attachment 2575013View attachment 2575014View attachment 2575015View attachment 2575016View attachment 2575017View attachment 2575018

Aww they are getting so big! Such a cute little group!:love

Crossing my fingers this next batch of lavender and paint does better and you get some healthy babies to hatch! :fl

Well, got my first silkie egg after almost 7 weeks! Would not have cracked it open, but it had kind of a weird shape, long and skinny, so decided to use it to check fertility. Here is a clear example of a bullseye!😃
Going to start collecting!

I'm photographing their comb growth week by week to help silkie sexers! Details and pictures in this thread: Silkie Combs Week by Week

Aww so cute! :love

And what a great idea for a thread, It'll be really neat seeing the comb growth documented! I put in my very likely inaccurate guesses in the poll as of now.
