Looks you may have a lavender (or a splash) and a paint! 😍

And the twelfth baby, little Poupette. Poupette was the last hatching (she hatched fine), and she did have some sticky feathers on her back and head I had to soak a bit with a q-tip. The morning after she hatched I discovered her little right foot's toes were crooked. Perhaps they had been sticky, too and kept in a weird position by that? We made her a little shoe. Today we could take it off again, her right foot is normal now :celebrate
She is one of the three smallest.

Thank you!🥰
One of the replacement eggs is doing SOMETHING, their is veining, but does not look like a day 9 egg. I suspect it will end up being a blood ring. Will hang onto it until it decides what it is going to do. All the others did not develop and have already been discarded.
Eko, my paint egg, just went into lockdown. So far, so good.
Good news is my white hen's eggs are fertile and I can already see development here on day 3. There is a 10 year old girl here in town and her mom patiently waiting for 2 silkies from me since late January, so hopefully they will continue to develop!😊
When do we get to see photos of your chicks?😍

I'm so glad little Eko is still doing good! I hope your little late starter hangs in there for you, I've heard of late starters hatching so hopefully there is still a chance! :fl

Aww they are all so cute!!! 🥰

I forgot were this from a mixed color flock? Looks like a really cute mix of colors! :)

I think number 10 probably won't be a paint. The location of the spots and the other areas that are a little darker remind me of grey columbian chicks I've seen. Could be something else too but paint would surprise me with that cutie.

I bet it will be super fun to watch them grow and see how their colors change as they grow! :D

Yes you are right, the breeder says she has twelve colors and they are all together.

Fantastic job with the shoe! Poupette looks great. 🥰 Amazing how quickly they improve sometimes! Will you keep all the chicks? Will be fun to track how they develop when they feather out and how their coloring ends up!

We are so relieved her little foot improved.
Yes we will keep them all if possible (if necessary we have enough space for a bachelor pad).

I can't remember if I posted yet here or not, but if y'all Silkie lovers would like to help me out with a little project, I'd greatly appreciate it! The details are in this thread:

https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/silkie-sexing-project-2-0.1452129/

Basically I need people to guess what they think each bird's sex is based on the weekly pictures I post. I'm using these guesses as a control for the data I'm collecting to see if there is a more reliable method (besides DNA testing) to determine Silkie sex besides guesses based on appearance.
