Oh, ya. Thanks! Apparently there was a hacker that got into BYC and was deleting random threads, icluding this one. The savvy folks here at BYC fixed it pretty quick, though!

Well little Flower has had a growth spurt and has now outgrown Bambi. S/he has a good mullet going and some girth to the legs, and maybe what appears to be wattles.. and pretty much won't let Bambi rest without an attack... has me thinking roo will be in our future! So adorable though..

Little Flower just flew the coop and then surprisingly was sitting on my hand enjoying the view!! Can't get attached.. i see little red wattle spots

I am holding out a little bit of hope.. but red at 3 weeks is not a good sign

Hey it says up top that it’s ok to post pictures. Well we just hatched a couple of things yesterday. The ad said they were black silkies. They look a bit like fuzzy aliens. No names yet — haven’t found just the right thing (and I’m not usually allowed to name the animals unsupervised).

They’re cute and all... they just don’t exactly look like chickens. And they’re so QUIET! (My Cornish cross chattered and muttered while wandering around) I keep going over to the brooder to see if they are ok.
