Imari is with the other youngsters. He has started to crow a little and chases Eko and Amai a bit, but I am afraid this may become worse as he becomes more mature. He may have to hang in the tractor if he gets out of hand.

Two days ago a shy voice squawked after my mom had left the room. I immediately suspected Schneeglöckchen. Today after my mom had left and Sindbad had crowed for her mighty and several times, the second crow started, this time already more confident. I went over and Schneeglöcken, sitting on the brooder plate crowed
I knew all the time I will have to rename him, because Schneeglöckchen=snowdrop just doesn't fit a male So he will now be named Schneemann=snowman or Yakari (after a cute Franko-Belgian Comic character), not totally sure yet.

Good morning everyone! I finally got my camera out to the coop again. Here's the latest pictures of my growing babies!

If flowing feathers off their crown is a sign of a Roo, I appear to have SIX (out of 9) of them! This is going to make it very hard to figure out which one to keep.... No one is crowing yet.

They all look great! I do not see any obvious streamers yet. This is a photo of Imari, he is 12 weeks old. Note the stiffer streamer feathers coming off the crest and flowy feathers developing on the neck for comparison.
He also has wattles developing, but not all cockerels will be this clear at this age. He is also crowing.

One of the lavender paints. I think this is a Roo?

The one I named Twitch (with the bad eye that I think is a blocked tear duct). I think he is a Roo too?

I love how they enjoy their run!
It looks to me like sweet little Twitch could be a boy. Not sure about the other sweeties.
Twitch's eye itself looks so clear and like a beautiful black pearl - a blocked tear duct really makes sense.
Does (s)he scratch the eye?

Molly with the newest silkie chicks. Molly is 3/4 silkie. She's an awesome mom. She's now a year old and this is her second batch of chicks for the year.
