After It quit raining, Nathaniel was missing so we were looking for him but instead found Cuddles (my bantam Phoenix pullet) sitting on 17 eggs under our house, some of which I think my silkies might have laid! I have seen her out a lot during the day though, so I'm not sure if someone else was sitting on them too? I wanted to let her keep them under the house but my mom said no. :(
Probably for the better, but still... :hmm

Here are the 11 that were good and went in the bator.

I am just praying if they are for the silkie boys to be the dad's! 🙏🙏

Yall all have silkies n understand their pet like nature...I only have 3 and they are 7 months old. 2 pullets n 1 cockrel.
Just like pets they have been until my cockrel just repeatedly attacked me, drew blood and everything in numerous places.
Have yall encountered that?
Here's separate post cuz I didn't know what to do. Any advice is helpful from yall that have had silkies a long time.

I'm sorry I can't help but I've never had this happen. I hope you get it figured out. :)

Sorry to hear you have trouble with aggressive behavior from a Silkie. Personally any chicken including Silkies that are aggressive I would cull, especially if it's repeat attacks on you.
If it is sort of accidental / one off cockerel hormones like my current Rooster then I don't cull -when he was a young cockerel he bruised me/draw blood with 1 hard peck on my leg when I was giving treats, never done it since and is super friendly. He's always hanging about me under foot! 😄
Pic when he was a chick between my feet and yesterday pic 😄

Aww what a cutie! 🥰

My goodness they are getting so big! I love how their coloring is continuing to develop, very pretty! ❤️

I'd guess the red coming in on the wings means more likely a male but I'm not sure it means definitely a male.

These two here were around 6 weeks in the photos and the red was already starting to come in on both the male and female. Deeper red on the wings is usually more of a male trait though. The male here didn't get his red coming in on the wings until a little later.

Ok, I won't think about making plans just yet but 'he' does have a wide large comb compared with the others! 😬 I may be able to have 1 cockerel amongst the flock if Biscuit allows it.
