were there others in the same hatch from same parents? What do they look like? Did they have vaulted sculls?

It appears Chino has given up! She's roosting! Eggs are cold.
... Waste of 8 eggs, and I do hope if I candle there is no beginning of babies inside!! I don't have an incubator so no hope for them she is a good layer though not often broody.

I saw the thread from a couple weeks ago and was thinking pullet then. These new pictures definitely paint things differently, I'm really surprised those streamers came in so late! I've never had one get them that late but I've heard of it happening, his comb sure grew a lot more too. Tricky little guy!

Im not sure about about sculls growing back ... But if you pair him with non vaulted ladies then half chicks should be non vaulted?? - correct @LynnaePB / @LadiesAndJane ? Or something like that? .. he's too beautiful to not use for breeding!

I usually get about 50/50 vaulted to non when pairing with a non vaulted partner. Usually my vaulted ones are the girls and the non vaulted the boy though. In those couplings I get a lot more boys without vaults than girls and vice versa.

I'm sorry to hear about Chino giving up on being broody.

I did hatch more. Only a Silkie hen had vaulted scull but sadly she died in october (fox) She was a very sweet girl. Kids loved her

Yep, then cracked them all.. none developing, I don't think she was sitting on them for long enough to even start the development as she kept kicking them beside her instead of keeping them under herself.
