I would wait until they are 3 weeks, then they should be fine in the garage. Just check on them frequently the first night or two to make sure they are keeping warm.What are you guys' thoughts on the chicks being in the garage? It is on the shaded side of the house, so to me it has a chill to it. At night its been in the 50s, and its returning to the 65-75 range during the day. I do have a heat lamp on them, and they are now 2 weeks old. Since I'm not doing the house chicken routine this time around, I'm not so keen on dusting as much!
Do you think they can go to the garage now, or should i wait a bit longer? Here is their setup:
