Gammas Bearded Babies
Crossing the Road
So u r in Hawaii as well! Nice!I just found information here by searching different threads, as well as reading other places on line. I am fortunate in that my first gen and second gen have different fathers. I will likely breed Noa back to her father, but then it will get more complicated. Maybe my friend will let me borrow his rooster for the next generation after that.
Having more than one rooster to work with will definitely be necessary down the line.
So question...I have 8 month old Mango (black silkie roo)...he's had behavior issues but I've been working with him and tried numerous techniques...some days he's good and some days he's not.
Should I keep him for either breeding purposes OR for training Joey?
I know I've read stuff here regarding having an older rooster train an up and coming cockrel. Mango is good with the girls typically...it's just been since we began construction on the new coop he got rough with me.
I know Joey is a lil cockrel...already crowed and comb is coming in at 5 weeks old...he's the satin silkie (what do u call this color?)
Where I got the eggs from in Alabama she called them pencil laced satin silkie.
This is V E R Y addictive, enjoyable and F U N!!!
