That's interesting...cuz these were the first eggs of my newly layin pullet (only layin 2 weeks) and they did great! Smaller than thr eggs I got from Alabama but the babies were just fine and all hatched on their own before the Alabama eggs hatched.

lucky you! I play better safe than sorry if I can.

shipped eggs can be troublesome as well.

Yeah it was my first time doing shipped eggs too...I was in denial anything would hatch! But 8 out of 9 did! My 3 yr old grandson was like "Gamma it's comin out of shell!" I had totally forgotten bout hatch with havin the 2 grandbabies there...and he was right! Magical moments I pray I never forget with them!!!

Happy New Year, everyone!❤️
Some of my “grow outs” on the grass today. This black one, I decided to keep out of the 3 blacks, though they were pretty interchangeable. Only 6 and a half weeks old. This one is known as “yellow band“. Deciding factors were, has nice wing structure, good feet with second toe feathering, super fluffy and is the friendliest!😊
Going to have to come up with a better name than “Yellow” perhaps Daffodil?🤷‍♀️
Noa, the smooth feathered Polkie, is now Nova, daughter changed it.🤣
Selling the other two blacks and the other two Polkies as I just don’t have room, as they are all getting bigger and bigger!😬
Last two photos are the ones I am selling. Always so tough to make this decision!🙂

Thanks! ❤️She is staying. Her silkied feathered sibs (4th photo) are going though!😊
Oh good!! She's gorgeous!!

All my girls are in the garage tonight, its going to go from 80 late this afternoon, to 30, and then 20s!! Not sure they can handle that change in their former house chicken coop. But! Once i got the big girls settled, the baby chicks all lined up to peek over the brooder base to check them out. They were mesmerized!

I need to do new pics, they've grown quite a bit! I have my hunches, but i want you guys to vote on who is what 🗳 😆
