Yall had two assists finally hatch on their own at 12:30am...they looked fine and were doing like normal hatches.
I got up at 5am and they are both laying there dead. I know @LadiesAndJane is middle of her night so hadn't heard from her.
What do yall do with the littles that don't make it? This is my first time having any die that hatched.
Oh no I'm so very sorry about the two little ones.

If I have a baby that doesn't make it still in the incubator I take it out and bury the little one. I'm so hands on with hatching opening the incubator quickly to get them out is not something I worry about. I usually only have babies still in the eggs that pass in the incubator though as I always take hatched babies out immediately so they don't kick around the other eggs. Makes more work for me as I have to make sure they dry off well in their heat pad but don't get too hot (so lots of being there and monitoring). But I do find it helps them dry off much quicker that way.
Were these babies late? I find the ones that hatch late are often weaker and more prone to passing. I wouldn't have expected both to be gone so soon after making it out on their own (my ones that pass usually last a day or two before passing) unless the temperature was off like @LadiesAndJane mentioned. Were there any other babies or live eggs that were alright after you found them?
Again I'm so sorry, it's always so hard losing them at hatch time, especially when they actually make it out of the egg for you.
