It's just so sad...
I cannot imagine how losing an actual baby similarly would feel...the helplessness is overwhelming just from these lil babies.
Sadly my daughter did miscarry over the weekend...so really havin yo be careful what I say as I know you're is NO comparison with lil chicks vs actual babies!

so sorry for your daughter! life is life for me, always hard to accept but we must go on.

I always bury. I crack unhatched eggs open, if there is a dead chick, I'll bury it, If it's a bad egg, bin

a friend of mine who has a farm and many unhatched eggs taught me to boil for 1 hour unhatched eggs (with embryos, dead chicks or just yolks) and feed them either chickens or dogs. they have a party when I do.

I had 4 live babies I had previously moved to second incubator for drying so as to eliminate the knocking around of the last 3 unmatched.
They were day 22 hatches...I still have 1 more in the egg in same incubator that hasn't hatched but it's alive and making progress.

It sounds like they were just too weak and it had nothing to do with the incubator which is good. I hope the last little one does well for you! :fl

And I'm so very sorry for your daughter and family, I can only imagine how difficult that would be. :hugs

The last chick finally hatched! Very weak but got it moved over to dry in other incubator and I'm gonna go get vitamin B complex for the other babies in hopes of helping leg situation!

Oh man, so sorry for you and your daughter. I know what you mean about being careful what you say...people grieving major losses are very sensitive. I had a friend once compare the loss of her dog to my loss of my Dad...it made me sooo angry at the time, but over the years I am more understanding. Loss is loss, there is definitely variation in the gravity of the hope and loss, but when your heart is committed to a life of any kind it is sad and you have a right to grieve it. Sending your family hugs. I'm so glad the last one hatched, fingers crossed the vitamins help! Maybe some Nutridrench? :hugs

Yeah I was just thinking about if I could give it a drop of Nutridtrench while it is drying to encourage it and strengthen it.
