My Olive Egger lays in the middle of the run 9 times out of 10! 🤷‍♀️ I figure she has PTSD from being the lone survivor of a dog attack, so she gets to lay her eggs wherever she chooses.🤣🥰

Ohhh sweet little Miss Olive! I would agree w her free pass 😍

The new chickens are 18 weeks now, and yea, no squatting except Betty, not even w the polish girls.

I'm still holding out hope i can keep both roos. I see occasional gentle chest bumping, but otherwise eat side by side. Fred has really grown on me. He follows me when i walk around the coop, and even made a run out the door to stand with me.. i had to bribe him with treats to get him back in. He can be close, but no touching him! He chit chats all day too, just so interesting and pretty looking.

I got both my roos...though we have the Nascar 500 every morning always Joey chasing Grayson but after bout 30 mins they settle down. Seldom anything other than little bite but they both do that to the girls.
Speaking of girls so I went back to sitting both Josie and Zoe on the roost bar at night inside the coop. Zoey is good bout staying, Josie not so much she always seems like she's gonna miss out on a treat and jumps down.
This morning I let em all out and Zoe never came...I figured she would so went on back to the house before the storms hit. 2 hours later I still don't see her in the run.
So I go back down there in the rain and she still sitting there on the roost lol! Had to coax her over to me few inches so I could pick her up.
Silly chickens!
Oh n guess I got Jackie Chan too...how do I always end up with same number girls n boys!?!

Minnie will not come outside if its below 65... apparantly, she's still acclimated to being a house chicken! 🏡 🐥
 
So Hatch ⁴ day is tomorrow! 13 out of 16 went into lockdown with only one either asleep or DIS. I'm so nervous though! It's like sitting in the hospital waiting room and nobody will tell ya a thing!
So ya know how normally they rock and roll before hatching ...I hadn't seen them do it once! I did have my 5 month old grandson today but I've been lookin quite frequently and even chirping and still no sign of eggs rocking!
Patience...it IS a virtue...ive never grasped LOLOL!

They both weigh about a pound and a half right now. Don’t think they’ll get much bigger but they will fill out more. Close to 4 months and working on integrating them into the flock. First day out “free ranging” with the others. All 6 shipped eggs hatched!:wee:celebrate
I haven't yet got a pic of all 6 at once but here's a couple...they all look light coloured?- no partridge? Any ideas of what colours?
..one little light one has a chipmunk stripe though!
