I took some cute pics of Cher Bear and wanted to share 😍 She’s got a bit more grown up look and you can tell I did a serious trim over the eyes. It has really helped her a lot. She’s not nearly as timid and puts herself to bed now. Such a sweet girl! 😍

She's gorgeous 😍 nice haircut job, what scissors do you use? I need to find better ones to get closer to the eyes. I always hold 2 fingers below the scissors for safety near the eyes but I can't get a good close cut so I may need to change to smaller scissors - I was going to try find ones with a bent/ angled tip, they laughed at me at the pet store last week when I asked about scizzors for chickens haircut!!!

Thank you!! I felt very nervous!! I have a pair of professional hair cutting shears that I use for my daughters hair and they stay very sharp and are fairly small. I like them because you only need to clip once and everything is done, instead of regular scissors that bend the feathers but don’t always cut! Another option would be first aid scissors that cut medical tape and gauze. They have protective edges but I find them too dull sometimes. :)

Also, holding your thumb gently over the eye as you cut. You'd be surprised how well they tolerate that! Thumb over the eye area you're going to trim, then trim away. :)
