Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

I hear ya..but I've seen a few in here that did turn out to be female, not satins...but other breeds that had big combs.
The thing about Bluey is that she has the odd colorings on her feet and beak which makes me hopeful she's just an oddball girl!
One can hope right?!

Why does everyone make everything about looks...? I meant in general, silkies are spectacular.

They are amazing!!! Great mommas, so sweet mine is a bit bossy but hey she has to be she's a little hen amongst the bigger hens so I have to add that I think they are also brave! I love them! This is a photo of one of her chicks who's now 10 weeks old she has beautiful babies

Smallish comb I think for a boy but can't possibly be a girl coz of colouring?

I absolutely LUV whenever they tilt their lil heads to look out at us from under all that floof!!!
I'm so used to seeing floofy heads that my baby d'uccles look sickly without any! I need those cheeks n beard to GROW!

They're too cute!!

One of my mixes I did looks like your gray one ! I did a lavender olive egger with my polish white silky and got a female and male out of it. Here they are as babies

I got a Silkie Bantam from TSC the other day! I think it is a Partridge. Does everyone else have super slow developing silkies? Like he has half the feather of the Cochin Bantams, MF duccles, OEGB, and Sebright that are the same age. Or does that point to cockerel?

This is my 9 week old silkie, Corduroy! She’s super cute just a little skidish. A few days ago she was attacked by a hawk and i think she might have loss some of her vision. Regardless she is safe and healthy! Do you guys think she’s a boy or girl? i got mixed opinions but i don’t know if it’s too early to know
