Found two nests while harvesting the berries.. couldn't see inside the first one, but in the second patch of berries I saw a young cardinal fly down out of the next bush over, and sure enough there were eggs in it!

I found the first elderberry bush buried under kudzu, vines, and brambles.. the place was over grown with 'stuff' when I bought it.. first year I found a 20 x 25 foot dog pen of 6 ft chain linked fence... and the first elderberry patch.. second year I found native poinsettia plants. There's trumpet vine growing up 500 year old oak trees, and various other plants I haven't identified.. one is a small rapidly growing vine that reminds me of ferns but has tiny red flowers.
