Silkies - They’re simply SPECTACULAR!

I have construction sand.. and lots of it. You pretty much have to dig and dig to hit the soil, which is like concrete when its dry and pb when its wet.. but there's enough sand to not be bothered by either scenario. But for you, id wonder how it would do not only w rain, but possibly iced/frozen water. Might make it difficult for your chickens, maybe too cold, but im not sure how cold it gets normally for you (minus the weird days that we are all getting).
Yeah idk what to do...someone on here in very similar climate said sand is definitely a no cause of the rain.
How did yours do when yall had that massive cold weather last year?
 
Ok, the other roo I saw was just tooooooooo far away...so this one I spotted is just 30 minutes from here and reasonable.. what cha'll think? He's just started crowing so has a bit of growing still to do.

I think he looks pretty!!

I could hear a faint half crow in the distanc this morning.. has me thinking young male silkie.
