Yes he is and he love to play-fight. I know the girls do too but he just looks like a boy. If it's not too muddy, I'll try to get a better picture of him

I’m the same. Broke my rule this summer and prematurely named my fave little paint girl “Penelope”. “She’s” crowing now, and goes by “Penn” lol

Here’s a couple side pictures of the mud monster lol. As I was going to let them out to run around, someone crowed!! Not sure who it was but it was sooo cute! So I think I read somewhere that a cochin/silkie will mature faster than a silkie. Anyone know if that is true?

I don't see visably longer streamers in the pic. It's up in the air for me. These guys are about 20 weeks old and got separated from their sister.. Notice the streamers? I'm not much inclined to go by combs since these guys for the most part have very small ones. I've seen hens with larger combs than the guy in the front
