Oh know...I never dreamed I'd have to keep them separate, I will for sure have to fine a new home for them if that is the case...ugh...will need to research that....

Who couldn't love a silkie?? This is one of my favorite photos of Mr. Jingles. He found a hickory nut laying on the ground. I think he was seriously contemplating eating the thing!

He is so funny to watch and I swear he knows his name! He's a real character...

I love everyones pictures of their silkies. I have 2 white roos that I got free from Craigslist and I would like to add a couple of hens. I really like the buff colored one---so-o-o pretty.

Mr. Jingles is giving that nut a very close inspection....he's adorable.

Mine have been. I promised a lady some fertile eggs & was super concerned when half my silkies decided to be broody. The rest are laying 6 eggs a week... They are good girls.

You don't have to keep them seperated, They can be kept with different breeds of chicken both hen and roo. If they can be raised together or see each other everyday for awhile it would be easier to add them together.

He is so cute! I have a buff hen named sandy who would love to get to know Mr. jingles..LOL

HA HA ... I'm sure Mr. Jingles would love to oblige! He's a fiesty fellow and his girl, Miss Muffin would probably not mind the competition.
