I have seen Silkies with and without the big fluff that covers their eyes. I want to get some without so I can see their faces. Is their a term for this?

I have seen people describing them as 'bearded' and 'non bearded'. Has that got anything to do with the head fluff?

Thanks.

No.. Beards are the fluff under their chins...
I have a hen with hardly any fluff on her head.. don't know why.. she isn't missing any feathers..
I got her from Ideal, and even my roosters have poor head feathering, or crests

No effense to Ideal, but this is what I think would be the best place to get small cresting. But this is just from experience! They are still sweet birds with a lot of fluff!
But your from the uk... I have now idea what is over there... you can't order them like that, you know, without large crests
Good Luck!
