I got him like that

All the silky roos i have seen have the same heads

I really like the non bearded silkie like these, were do i get some.

This is Moogie and Margo, they are bearded silkies.

My DH said they look like hippies. I trim the feathers from around their eyes so they can see better.

Those are two if the nicest looking non bearded I have ever seen.
Maybe the bearded variety isnt as prominent in Australia?

I've been searching different sites and BYC, too, and I'm having trouble finding the visible difference between bearded and non-bearded Silkies. Is it that non-bearded have no feathers at all on their heads??

Maybe come spring I can order a bunch if the chickens go OK until then with the neighbors. I'm sort of suspecting one of my 'girls' is a boy - I have a dominique with a huge head spot who is a good 1/4 or 1/3 bigger already than the other dom I have in this batch...
