silly question.... how to get rid of stink bug breath

my 2 week old cockerel Dobby tried to eat a stink bug, but it was too big of a snack to him so the smell deterred him before he knew it. i feel so bad but i had to put him back in his little brooder cage because now he smells like a stink bug.
do i clean him?!? how do i make him stop smelling like that, he's crying because he's attached to me and he's wondering why i'm avoiding him

Does he not have other chicks for company? If not, then I'd get him some friends.
