Silly to save squash guts?

We recently installed a wood burning furnace but do to some issues cannot connect it to the ductwork yet so we are using the radiant heat to heat the rest of the house. Our basement went from 50-60* to 70-85* and an unexpected result of that was that the squash in our root cellar started turning. I’m in the works of processing them to preserve them longer and it dawned on me... we are getting our first chicks ever in April. Is it silly to freeze the guts to save for the flock?

It'll make a great frozen treat in the summer...if you put some in the fridge for a day or two,you can add other veggie tidbits then freeze. Put it out for them on hot days and it's a fun cool treat for em.

Depends on how much freezer space you have. I think mine is equal parts human food and save for chickens. :D
They will love then though. With any stringy goop you can save with the seeds.

I don’t even have them yet and I am already beginning to save for them... I’m sure this cannot be a good sign
