I'm not sure - about 6 weeks old?How old are your girls in this pic?
It's a Pacific Northwest chain called Wilco. Can I ask which one??
Yes, they are Welsh. They are from a book series my siblings and I were obsessed with as children. The language of the main world in the book was pretty much Welsh. Cariad means sweetheart.Love the names! Are they Welsh by any chance?
That would have been a helpful bit of info. They were around 3 1/2 weeks old.How old are your girls in this pic?
Darn... the wilco in Silverton only had straight run this year. You're pretty luckyIt's a Pacific Northwest chain called Wilco.
My sister's favorites are also the Silver, but our gold hen is super pretty with bronze/green iridescent wing patches. Here's a picture of my welsh - all female - and they turned out to be two silver and one gold in the middle. I think the silver are more beautiful because they have the blue/green feathers, but my gold is by far the sweetest and calmest.
From my calling around Wilcos, only the larger stores have sexed ducklings. We got the Welshies and Appleyard in Corvallis. The "Saxony" (a Pekin drake....Darn... the wilco in Silverton only had straight run this year. You're pretty luck
