Silver Duckwing Phoenix Tail

It seems to me that he has more of the phoenix tail. I had buff bantam silkies and they did not have tails like that... Can't wait to see him full grown...

He is blue spangled (plus a lot of other bits and pieces). I'm probably going to try creating mille fleur with him, but need mottle for that

Chicks under 16 weeks old are suppose to be able to eat all day, they are never suppose to be out of food. So yours still should be allowed to eat 24-7. I let mine have an endless supply of food until 16-18 weeks depending on the breed and then I cut their food down.

All of my chickens have an endless supply of food. The only ones that may run out are the adults and 3 month olds. They are in a pen together but I check on them many times a day and unless it is pouring down rain they get fed twice a day with snacks.

Should they still be on chick starter? I give them scratch grains but they just about refuse to eat it. So I keep a smaller bowl of starter and I put their treats in it too. They never run out of food.

Yes what Shay said... They should be on starter until 4-4 1/2 months. I also feed my chicks backyard flock raiser at that age, it helps with muscle developement and with feathering out among other things. I feed them that until 4 1/2 months. I am raising jumbo cornish chicks on both starter and the backyard flock raiser, and I am not having any problems with them. I hear from alot of people that when their chicks get a few weeks old they can't walk and have all kinds of problems. But mine are as healthy as all my other chicks just ALOT bigger and get around fine, they are now about 10 weeks old.
