A few weeks ago I purchased a young Silver laced Wyandotte rooster and I was told he was purebred. a few days ago I caught him and had a closer look and noticed he had very very small feathers on his feet which makes me question if he is a purebred. what do you guys think?

I agree with Amer, feather stubs are an undesirable trait but not uncommon and not indicative of being a mixed breed. I've had buckeyes from a show breeder pop up with feather stubs. If you're breeding towards the standard of perfection you're better off finding a different rooster and not breeding this one.
