Your guesses sound right, but I don't think those are wyandottes because your chicks have straight combs. Are you sure on the breed?
 
Your guesses are right on the sex, but not the breed. They are a siver or silver duckwing color and have single combs. The only thing they have in common with wyandottes is the yellow legs. These look like silver leghorns. Did you get them at a feed store or order them from a hatchery?
 
You know what, I have been wondering that myself lately, wrong comb! They were bought at a chick auction and that is what they announcer thought they were. So, I guess it is a surprise :eek:
