Silver Sebright Sexing

I'm no expert but from the research I have done the pullets comb is black and is small. I would guess that's a rooster. My silver sebright comb is about that big at four weeks but more pinkish and I'm pretty sure he is a rooster. All of the pictures I can find of sebright hens they don't really have a comb it's just a black spot above their beak.

Hi all, I know this is an old thread but it's perfect! I have just been to a breeder and got a sebright chick. It's about 10 days old. Is there anyone that would be able to tell me how its Male or female? He says the best is to vent sex, but the vet I usually go to is away. Any help would be appreciated.

Check out the threads posted just above yours. 10 days is really too young, imo. At about 4-5 weeks, you'll be able to tell. My boy looked like yours. I feel as though girls have darker beaks, but it really can go either way. But after about 4 weeks, that comb will start to grow in if it's a cockerel.

I LOVE my little cockerel! I hope he doesn't turn mean on me. Here is a pic at about a week:

Sadly I will not be able to keep him if hes a rooster, I am in quite a built up residential area.... I really really hope it's a little hen
