Can someone please help me figure out what I can expect when I cross my Silver Sebright rooster and Bantam Gold Laced Polish pullet?

Coloring? Size? And anything else you can tell me... I'm awful at genetics or maybe it's just that I've never taken the time to truly understand it all.

Thank you :thumbsup

@WVduckchick
Please tag in the colour genetic people on here. I can't remember who they are?

I think they monitor this section and should be along soon, but I believe all the offspring will be silver.
If the colors were reversed, gold cock over silver hen, the offspring would be sex-linked and you’d get silver males and gold females.
But let one of the experts reply. I could be mistaken.

Sex-link would be awesome for the OP..👍

This gives me an idea 😁 but before I start that idea... The chicks need to hatch. I have external pips on the bantam eggs so I'll see what color their fluff is. It'll be a bit before they feather out.

You can get Split Silver/Gold coloring. It's kind of a lemon color.

Color Genetics for this is: S/s+.

All silver maybe possible too.
I'm going to make a bantam flock, but I wasn't sure what they'd even look like. The chicks I'm sure will be small considering how tiny the bantam eggs are.

That's a barred rock egg next to it. My puppy loves the little bantam eggs but I've been putting them all in the incubator lately.

Yes, they will be small, & will probably be as small as the Sebrights.

I don't know what the sebright looked like when he hatched because he was a year old rooster when he was given to us, but he's a tiny thing. He's one of my favorites. My bantam polish is about the same size as him and she has been stuck to his side since the day I brought him home.
